Serving As A Mediator
Mediation is an art and not
a science. Every mediator has a different approach but every approach
has the same objective: an acceptable resolution of the issues confronting
the parties. Successful work as a mediator is a highly individualized
enterprise, requiring experience in a wide array of issues and environments
and a fundamental understanding of conflict resolution. What sets
Mr. González's work apart from that of other mediators
is his ability to identify areas of compromise early in the process,
thus creating an environment that leads toward collaboration and effective
communication. He also has an innate ability to secure cooperation
between parties at the earliest stages of his involvement. Ultimately
the parties must settle their differences, but without meaningful
collaboration and communication, settlement is very difficult if not
impossible. To read further about Mr. González's approach
